Array Sweeps Platinum and Gold at the 2023 Hermes Creative Awards

If you asked our team what our favourite season is, we’d say, “awards.” And for good reason. Since our marketing agency opened its doors in 2009, we’ve taken home a total of 44 international awards for advertising, graphic design, digital marketing, and web development.

This year, we’re raising that number to 46 with our two recent wins at the Hermes Creative Awards, an internationally recognized competition for creative professionals.

Northfield Dental Clinic—Platinum

Three cheers for websites that are responsive, engaging, and user-friendly. We took home Platinum for our web design and web development of Northfield Dental Clinic, a family-first dental clinic based in Nanaimo, B.C. Our team overhauled their existing website as part of a complete marketing strategy. The new layout features interactive elements like animated hover states on buttons, and forced horizontal scrolling to bring attention to prominent areas of the website. Our graphic designers created custom iconography that offers users visual cues to better digest information as they move through the website.

Specsavers—Gold

Our team struck gold when we partnered with Specsavers to develop their in-store sales app. (Literally. We took home gold for Mobile Information Experience.) As one of the world’s largest optical retail chains with locations across the globe, they approached our team to help build an in-store sales app within a tight timeline that aligned with their launch into the Canadian market. The app runs on iPad iOS to aid with associate training and to streamline the sales process. From entering a prescription, through selecting a frame and sales promotion, and adding features such as coatings, the app takes you on a step-by-step journey to a final printable summary. The app includes intelligent detection of lens designs and materials based on the customer’s prescription. It also handles calculations for various in-store promotions, helping the sales associate show the customer different options for purchasing quickly and easily.
