Careers | Array

Hey there, nice to meet you, we’re Array.

Before we talk jobs, let us tell you how we work. We’re a creative marketing agency that’s committed to doing right by building brands that connect with real people and drive impactful results. We’re storytellers, strategists, artists, designers, and problem-solvers that show up every day to make a real difference. We’re real with each other, our clients, and celebrate people who say NO to mediocrity.

If you’re an experienced and gifted programmer, designer, marketer, or business management professional, we have a role for you.

Array is currently seeking people to join our team in the following positions:

We are a close-knit team that values working hard in a fun, team-oriented environment that is both exciting and challenging. As a part of our team, you will be collaborating with content strategists, project managers, developers, copywriters, and designers as an integral team member in the creative process. For now we’re working remotely, but come the fall of 2021 we hope to be back in the office collaborating as a team. During this remote work phase, we do still from time to time need to meet face to face with industries that are essential to the economy. For these instances, we mask up and follow provincial protocol. This does mean you need to be living in or able to relocate to the Nanaimo region.

You must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Design, diploma in graphic design, web development, digital arts, or equivalent experience and portfolio to back it up.
  • 5+ years’ experience doing user experience design for web, desktop, or mobile applications, branding, and print collateral.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (We use XD for web design, FYI.)
  • A portfolio that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling design rationales in both client and internal contexts.
  • Motivated by feedback, and by the opportunity to improve in your role, in your work, and in how you work together as a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment with rapidly changing responsibilities and requirements.
  • The ability to work as a member of our team equally as strong as you are able to work independently. You are also able to motivate and inspire yourself to continually be better.
  • A strong natural attention to detail, creative thinking and problem-solving.

Are you our next teammate?

In this position, you will be creating pieces from scratch and seeing them all the way to the end while collaborating with team members across multiple disciplines, skills, and backgrounds. Your responsibilities range from brand content creation, digital content creation, web design, marketing collateral, and more.

Do you have excellent design skills and a solid understanding of current design trends? Do you possess technical and conceptualization skills to create appealing and functional websites? Are you experienced in communicating design decisions to engineering teams, project management & clients? Are you able to move between digital and print while developing on-brand visuals that communicate a brand’s essence? Are you self-motivated and enjoy problem-solving and troubleshooting unique challenges daily? If this is you, and we’ve held your attention thus far, reach out!
