Why are you passionate about what you do?

I love finding creative and highly functional solutions to problems. Being a designer and an artist is who I am, and it’s the lens I use to view the world. I see challenges and beautiful solutions everywhere. I never know how inspiration will strike; eyes and mind open is the best approach, I believe. I think the wonderful thing about being a creative person is that it extends into all aspects of my life and is a way of thinking that enriches everything around me. It’s truly rewarding to use my passion to help others and make a positive impact on their lives.

What’s your favourite part of the process?

My favourite part of the design process is when a great idea comes to me, and I slowly peel back the layers to give it light. Then see that idea evolve from a small iteration and carry across different mediums to create a system. This is where I think the most magic happens, and it is such a wonderful thing to be a part of.

What do you get up to when you’re not working?

When I’m not working, my creativity carries over into other projects. I am an avid baker, and I love taking recipes and creating vegan versions or experimenting with cake flavour combinations. I also love to tackle woodworking projects, whether it is a small shelf or a 13-foot desk for my office space. I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, taking our English pointer on adventures, especially on the water, and exploring this beautiful paradise we are so lucky to live in.
