What did you want to be when you grew up?
Growing up in the early 2000s, I was obsessed with the Spy Kids movies. They were searching for clues and solving problems with all their gadgets. I wanted to be one so bad. Well, in my mind I was one. Give me some Spy Kids merch from Toys-R-Us and I was ready to go. In a way, graphic design isn’t too far off. I still look for hints from what clients say to spark inspiration, help solve their problems, all while using fun gadgets.
What’s your favourite part of the process?
My favourite part of the process is concept development/ideation. I like coming up with many solutions until I find the one that’ll fit best for a particular client. It’s messy, it’s creative, it’s collaborative, and it’s fun.
Why do you enjoy being a part of this industry?
I enjoy collaborating with a wide range of people working in businesses & organizations in multiple industries. Every day is different and I love the variety. It’s really interesting learning from each of them. So many businesses are doing amazing work, and we get to help them stand out and play a role in their success.
