How has your education or experience prepared you for your career?

I’ve been working with numbers for the past 27 years. Before joining Array, I started out training as a bookkeeper for restaurants & construction companies, progressed to a business teller in banks, and then worked as an executive assistant for a public relations firm. I have always had a knack for problem solving, forecasting, budgeting and reconciling. I hold a Bachelor of Business Admin degree with a Major in Finance.

Why are you passionate about what you do?

Accounting is one giant puzzle. I enjoy finding all the pieces and putting it back together again. I’m crazy for numbers, research and constantly learning. Working at Array allows me to combine all these things and excel in the accounting field. Finding solutions, managing data, planning and budgeting – I love it all. There is never a dull day and always a new challenge for me to conquer.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was a kid, I wanted to be a teacher. I would plan out school days for my family, make up lesson plans on the chalkboard in our basement, and assign them tests & projects all the time – my grading was tough, but fair! I did not pursue teaching, but I fell in love with the field I’m in because it envelopes all the qualities that attracted me to teaching as a kid. I am still always seeking to learn new lessons, continue my education and pass on knowledge to others.
