MAC Reno Design-Build

Premium print marketing materials that leave a lasting impression.

Mac Reno Design-Build is a family-owned business that has been building homes and transforming living spaces in the Greater Victoria area since 1980. Looking to connect with homeowners in specific neighbourhoods, their team partnered with Array to explore new print advertising opportunities. We collaborated on a series of three direct mailers that artfully highlight Mac Reno’s design-build expertise, paired with clever, targeted copy to resonate with their ideal audience. The project later expanded to include branded presentation folders, bringing the print marketing materials together with a highly customized, premium feel.

How Did We Help Them Out?
  • Our copywriting and design teams began the collaboration by aligning on a shared creative vision that would showcase Mac Reno’s long-standing craftsmanship and their dedication to helping clients love where they live.
  • Inspired by Nike’s “Just do it” slogan, the campaign’s call to action “Let’s make ‘someday…’ today” speaks directly to homeowners ready to transform their space. This bold, motivational tone shaped the overall direction of the campaign, encouraging decisive action and positioning Mac Reno as the partner who can turn long-held renovation dreams into reality.
  • To appeal to an upscale audience, the direct mailer features premium print finishes, including spot UV gloss and a die-cut peekaboo flap in the shape of Mac Reno’s icon, creating a tactile, high-impact first impression.
  • Intentionally minimalist, the front of the mailer features no imagery – just a glimpse revealed through the die-cut shape, sparking curiosity and inviting recipients to look inside. The headline adds intrigue, teasing the story that unfolds within.
  • The clever and playful headlines reflect common renovation pain points, creating an emotional connection with readers considering a kitchen upgrade.
  • To carry the same elevated aesthetic across touchpoints, the design team also created a custom presentation folder inspired by the mailer’s look and feel. The same spot UV gloss treatment is used throughout, while die-cut detailing is thoughtfully applied to the main pocket and business card holder.
