The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN), servicing Nanaimo, Lantzville, Parksville and Qualicum Beach, reached out to Array for print collateral with a goal to provide reporting transparency, educational information, and resources to residents. With community, connection and our environment in mind, Array designed a Solid Waste newsletter, a Zero Waste newsletter, a Spring Budget brochure, and an award-winning stream protection direct mailer for Beck & Walley Creek.

- A Solid Waste newsletter provides local residents of Nanaimo with the district’s proposed programs to reach a 90% diversion rate to reduce, recycle, divert and compost waste sent to landfill.
- A Spring Budget brochure provides residents with transparent reporting on the services of the RDN and information pertaining to the approved 2019 spend.
- The Beck Creek and Walley Creek stream mailers aligned with Rivers Day, 2018, providing residents with information pertaining to the ongoing management of this vital community watershed. Array went with hand-drawn illustrations for this specific piece to provide an interesting way of telling the story, and we subsequently won a Gold Hermes award for this work.
- A Zero Waste newsletter kept residents informed of the RDN’s efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle, including information about the district’s 2020 curbside collection. This colourful, easy-to-read brochure highlights information about the collection schedule, items accepted at drop-off depots, friendly reminders and more.
