Westmark, based in Nanaimo, BC, is a leading construction company on Vancouver Island, specializing in commercial construction, multi-family developments & custom homes, mixed-use communities, and everything in between. Despite having a diverse portfolio and highly-refined construction process, Westmark felt their marketing efforts lacked focus and alignment with their organizational goals. - We kicked-off the brand refresh with an update to their logo design, prioritizing clarity and adaptability. We picked a modern, clean sans-serif font for easier reading and a fresher appearance. “CONSTRUCTION LTD” was removed, and we changed the layout from vertical to horizontal, putting all focus onto “Westmark,” making the brand more recognizable, memorable, and versatile across applications, from business cards to website headers.
- We revamped their website with a fresh, modern user experience focused on their target audience. The web design features a grid-style layout, reminiscent building blocks, that showcases their impressive and diverse portfolio. The colour palette consists of a neutral medium gray combined with navy accents that fortifies their brand recognition while instilling feelings of trust and reliability. Identifying two distinct target audiences, we tailored the content to resonate with their needs while providing clear information to inspire confident decisions.
- Consistency in messaging across all client touchpoints is vital. We seamlessly integrated Westmark’s refreshed brand and voice into every piece of their print collateral, boosting brand recognition. We designed eye-catching vehicle decals and site signage that stand out to onlookers and a range of print materials, such as business cards, presentation folders, and brochures, that captivate leads grab attention right from the start.
- A long-term investment in search engine optimization (SEO), both on-and off-site, has resulted in top search rankings, insight into the needs of their demographics, and has helped to generate more qualified, actionable leads.
- In 2016, the Westmark website received two international creative awards: a Silver in the Website Redesign Category for the Summit Creative Awards, and Gold in the B2C Website category for the Hermes Creative Awards.
