Why This Nanaimo Agency Invested $46,000 Back Into the Community
Doubling down on local is a smart strategy that benefits more than your business.
At a time when businesses are cutting back, we made a different call.
We invested forward.
Over the past year, we put more than $46,000 in sponsorships and in-kind work directly into organizations supporting the social and economic strength of our communities. Not because it was easy or expected. But because strong communities fuel strong businesses, and we’re committed to helping build the kind of region we want to live, work, and create in.
If you’re a business leader trying to navigate shifting markets, rising costs, and growing uncertainty, we believe that investing closer to home is a strategy that pays everyone back. Here’s what that’s looked like for us.

1. Designing the Vital Signs Report for Nanaimo Foundation.
We designed the latest Vital Signs report for Nanaimo Foundation, giving leaders a clear snapshot of the region’s most pressing issues. With stats on housing, income, transportation, and community health, changemakers can make decisions grounded in data that benefit our citizens.

2. Rebranding Island Good to promote local businesses.
When local makers and growers win, the whole Island benefits. We helped refresh the Island Good brand and messaging so shoppers can easily choose Vancouver Island products, and local businesses get the visibility they deserve.

3. Developing the Our Health, Our Community website.
Health data only matters when people can access it. In collaboration with Our Cowichan Communities Health Network and Island Health, we designed and programmed a new interactive website to showcase Cowichan Region health insights in a clear and meaningful way. This helps residents, organizations, and community leaders make informed choices around wellbeing.

4. Redesigning Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation logo and brand.
Kids are our future. We refined the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Schools Foundation (NLSF) brand, sub-brands, messaging, and collateral to make it easier for donors, families, and schools to connect and get students the resources they need to succeed.

5. Supporting the Tom Harris Community Foundation with content marketing.
Strong communication strengthens impact. For the Tom Harris Community Foundation, we created a communications strategy with monthly blog posts and quarterly newsletters to honour sponsors and boost digital presence so the community can see the impact contributions are making first hand.

6. Crafting a brand messaging strategy for Nanaimo Science.
Sponsorship comes in many forms and for Nanaimo Science, our CEO & Marketing Director, Kristina Crowson donates her on the board. As part of a recent initiative to better engage with students, families, and the community, our team refined Nanaimo Science’s positioning with a brand messaging strategy that inspires learning and makes science fun.

7. Ongoing web development support for Parksville Beach Fest.
Vibrant local events bring communities together. We continue to support the Parksville Beach Festival website with updates so residents and visitors can engage, participate, and celebrate a beloved Island tradition.
Keep backing the builders of community.
Whether you’re a creative, entrepreneur, non-profit, leader, or neighbour, the more you give locally, the stronger your community becomes.
If you’re looking for support to elevate your visibility, communicate your impact, or build deeper trust with the community you serve, we’d love to partner with you.
Let’s create work that keeps moving our region forward.
