Front End Developer

We are seeking applications for a front-end developer who possesses formal training or on-the-job experience in responsive website design and development, with at least 1–3 years of experience in the field. In this position, you will be developing, deploying, testing, and monitoring custom websites and web apps.

Your primary role will be building user-friendly web and mobile sites and web apps from the ground up, while collaborating with team members and clients across multiple disciplines, skills, and backgrounds. Your responsibilities range but are not limited to, WordPress development, web app development, and Shopify & WooCommerce development.

Mandatory Skills:

• Highly experienced with custom layouts using HTML5 / CSS3
• Experience with jQuery / Javascript, including sourcing & integrating libraries
• Experience with custom WordPress theme development, including custom post types, ACF, and writing templates from the ground up
• Experience with basic WooCommerce
• Knowledgeable enough about PHP to write custom functions to solve unique client needs within WordPress
• Basic+ experience with files designed in Figma

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SASS
• Experience with Ajax, extra points for Ajax within WordPress
• Experience with Databases / MySQL
• Experience with Liquid and custom Shopify themes
• Previous experience with React / React Native
• Highly detail-oriented with a design eye

Job Duties:

• Slicing Figma files and developing with HTML/CSS/SASS/PHP/jQuery
• Responsive website development
• CMS Setup and management (WordPress/WooCommerce and Shopify)
• Javascript programming, including the use of jQuery and other libraries.
• PHP development
• Advising design on suggestions for interactive components

Compensation:
Negotiable based on skills and experience. A benefits package is available for full-time employees after a probationary period.
