Intermediate Designer (Closes Friday, April 3, 2026)
We’re looking for an Intermediate Graphic Designer to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone with demonstrated experience but looking for growth in their design career who is curious, motivated, has high standards, and is excited to continue learning by doing.
As a Graphic Designer, you’ll support the development of thoughtful, well-crafted visual work across brand, print, and digital projects. You’ll work closely with other designers, copywriters, developers, and project managers. We are looking for a candidate with strong design fundamentals, attention to detail, and a willingness to take feedback, ask questions, and push your skills forward. You’ll be supported with clear direction, mentorship, and opportunities to expand your capabilities.
If you’re someone who cares about good design, wants to understand the “why” behind creative decisions, and is excited to be part of a collaborative studio environment, this role could be a great fit.
As an Intermediate Designer at Array, your role includes the following responsibilities:
- Review supplied documents, emails, and project briefs from Account Management to support project design, and ask clarifying questions as needed.
- Assist with conceptual development, layout, and design across print and digital projects under the guidance of senior designers.
- Support senior designers with estimating time on small or quick-turnaround tasks when required.
- Attend internal project meetings and client meetings as needed, primarily in a support or observational role.
- Present all creative work for internal review with senior design staff prior to any client-facing review.
- Participate in the proofing process, including implementing feedback, coordinating with team members, and reviewing programmed websites post-completion with guidance.
- Collaborate with senior designers and the creative director to problem-solve design challenges and develop strong design solutions.
- Communicate professionally with internal team members and, when appropriate, with clients under the direction of a senior designer or account lead.
- Respond to internal communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Work toward meeting assigned project timelines and budgeted hours, with support and guidance from the team.
Important Skills:
- Web design experience with Figma (Mandatory)
- Diploma or certificate in Graphic Design (or equivalent training).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong foundation in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Familiarity with prototyping and design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for digital and UI-focused projects.
- Basic motion graphics experience (After Effects and/or Premiere Pro) is considered an asset, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word and PowerPoint, for creating and updating client-facing presentations.
