Violet Wild Cannabis Co. is a family-owned and women-led local cannabis retailer. When they first came to us, they only had a name and a vision—establishing a brand that supports inclusive cannabis consumption and creates a community that fully embraces self-expression. So we rolled up our sleeves, put our creative minds together, and delivered a unique brand start-up package that really lights things up (and wins awards too).

How Did We Help Them Out?

  • Violet Wild wanted their brand to express authenticity and be free-spirited. To accomplish this, we developed a mood board and colour palette rooted in deep purple and sunny yellow that aligns with their values and strongly conveys their messaging visually.
  • Building from their colour palette, we designed a logo concept which utilizes hand-drawn lettering to anchor “Violet Wild” as the focal point. From there, we added arching text above and below their name creating a circular shape to showcase inclusivity while making it easy to apply on print materials (like stickers and business cards). The small inset of cannabis leaves adds balance and reinforces Violet Wild as a trusted business in the cannabis industry.
  • For their website, we created custom painted watercolour splashes to give a personal touch and add an extra creative element to round out the design. The splashes are scroll-triggered animated to express free and playful movement. And the site itself expertly uses white-space to reduce overwhelm and make navigating content simple and clear.
  • We then integrated their chosen POS and eCommerce platform, Dutchie, allowing their business to legally sell cannabis via their website using the “pay and collect” model specific to sales in B.C.
  • To help Violet Wild build their community and gain exposure, we designed social media assets and set them up with accounts to get their brand in front of the right people. We designed corporate collateral that included business cards, a letterhead and e-signature to maintain brand recognition at every touchpoint.
  • As a final touch, we custom designed packaging including paper bags and stickers to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand experience from start to finish.
  • We authored brand guidelines to ensure brand elements are used appropriately across all media.
