Launching Canadian-made diamond core drilling equipment into the mining and exploration market.

TactEx Industries is an all-in-one diamond core drilling equipment manufacturer based in Parksville, B.C. Forged by the founders of Macon Industries and their partner James Patterson, TactEx offers a versatile surface drill that fits into multiple platforms and is suitable for most terrains. When they came to Array, they were a business looking for a name, brand, and website. Our full-service agency got our web design, branding and marketing, and web development teams together to deliver a versatile digital experience.

How Did We Help Them Out?
  • Our advertising agency kicked off the project with our naming development process. We created ‘TactEx’ by fusing ‘tactical’ and ‘expedition,’ two key attributes associated with the company. The two-syllable word is sharp, upbeat, and memorable, ensuring it will stick in the minds of consumers.
  • Our graphic designers created a bold, vertically condensed wordmark-style logo. The subtle notch details in the T’s reflect the interchangeability of the drill and platforms, adding a dynamic flair that mimics forward momentum. Brand colours are rooted in red and steel grey, representing power and sophistication.
  • With branding in place, our web designers laid out customized web pages, including a dynamic surface drill builder. The surface drill builder allows users to build their own drill by following a step-by-step series of selections. From choosing a platform to add-ons and extra equipment, potential customers can fully customize their drill.
  • Our web development team built the site to be responsive on mobile and desktop devices. They integrated Gutenberg, a new blocked-based editor for WordPress, that gives content managers a full range of tools they can implement when editing pages post-launch.
  • Once the site was launched, our digital marketing team kicked off a robust search ad campaign to drive traffic to the website and increase conversions. Through organic social media management and paid social media ads, our digital marketing team implemented and monitored multiple streams of traffic to ensure the campaign’s success.
