Country Club Centre

Developing a user-friendly website for a modern Nanaimo shopping experience.

Country Club Centre has been a staple in Nanaimo’s shopping scene since 1980. We’ve been lucky to be part of its journey since 2013, when we first built their website. Over a decade later, our partnership is still going strong, evolving with each new iteration. This time, with the mall undergoing renovations, the team wanted a modern website to match the new upgrades. Our goal was to create a family-friendly, easy-to-navigate, and fully responsive site that complements the mall’s updated look. Here’s how we brought it to life.

How Did We Help Them Out?
  • Our design team crafted a colour palette that strikes the perfect balance between fun and elegant. Teal and lavender add a playful, family-friendly touch, while a black backdrop brings a sense of elegance and strength. This colour palette is web accessible to ensure everyone can use the website.
  • The navigation includes dynamic grid lines that expand on hover, subtly guiding the eye and enhancing interactivity. At the top, an announcement bar highlights key updates like upcoming events, closures, and holiday hours. On mobile, the Mall Hours button is placed front and centre for quick, easy access.
  • On the homepage, Upcoming Events are neatly organized, making it easy to view the latest events with a call-to-action to explore more on each event’s individual page. Users can also share events via social media or through link sharing.
  • Also on the homepage, a custom map links to Google Maps, making it easy for users to get directions to the mall.
  • The mall directory features a floor plan in the brand’s colour palette, along with a complete list of shops and restaurants. Each listing links to its own page with detailed store information and hours, making it easy for visitors to find what they need.
  • We designed a dedicated Guest Services page to keep all service information in one convenient place. Visitors can simply click on a service from the list to access more details.
  • Country Club Centre’s new user-friendly website launched alongside the mall’s renovations in 2024, and continues to serve as a valuable resource for guests to easily access mall information, events, and more.
