IMPACT

Developing a mobile-first, green website to support a leading sustainability summit.

IMPACT is a leading sustainability summit for global travel and tourism held annually in Victoria, B.C. To further their mission of driving tourism as a force for good, they needed more than just a technically skilled agency to build their website. It was important for them to collaborate with a team that truly shared their values and wanted to get involved and give back to the community. Through a client referral, IMPACT connected with Array to develop a mobile-friendly website, hosted on green servers, to spread their message of unlocking sustainable tourism solutions. Here’s how it all came together.

How Did We Help Them Out?
  • To kick off our collaboration, our digital marketing team began with conducting a keyword analysis and developing an information architecture. Taking a mobile-first approach, we focused on creating an accessible user journey that makes it easy for visitors to find the information they need, even when they’re on the go.
  • With IMPACT’s sustainability mission at the forefront, our web design team crafted a visually harmonious site using the brand’s colour palette and intentional design elements. Rounded corners create a welcoming, accessible feel, while a recurring circular graphic, symbolizing a ripple effect, reinforces the idea that small actions can lead to meaningful change over time.
  • A fixed navigation with a quick-access registration button makes it easy for guests to explore the site and register for the event.
  • The schedule page features an intuitive user interface so guests can find conference information quickly and efficiently.
  • The website’s key features include cookie compliance, adherence to accessibility standards, and integration with Events Force and the Whova App. Additionally, it is hosted on green servers, reinforcing IMPACT’s commitment to sustainability.
  • The IMPACT Summit and its website have been thriving since 2018, featuring over 48 speakers and attracting more than 1,000 attendees to date. Our partnership with the IMPACT team, along with our ongoing community engagement, continues to grow each year.
