Island Roots Group is a real estate partnership built on authenticity, connection, and a deep love for Vancouver Island. As a newly formed team, Susan Webster and Brittany Angus needed a brand identity that reflected their values, professionalism, and commitment to lasting client relationships. With a competitive market and no existing joint identity, they turned to us to create a brand that would set them apart. To bring their vision to life, we created a real estate brand that blends the natural beauty of the Island with a modern, trustworthy aesthetic. - Our graphic design team began by crafting a coastal-inspired colour palette that blends soft and deep blues, with Seascape as a vibrant highlight. We took a strategic approach to colour selection, ensuring each hue forms a meaningful, non-verbal connection with the audience. Light blues reflect dependability and calm, deep blues convey intelligence and wisdom, and gold symbolizes prosperity and sophistication.
- To bring the brand’s vision to life, we designed a logo featuring a seagull carrying a branch that integrates with the letter “t” to form the crosspiece. This symbol represents nesting and homebuilding, reinforcing Island Roots’ deep connection to Nanaimo’s coastal identity.
- Our typography choices balance strength and elegance, with a flared sans-serif font that features curving thick and thin strokes. This combination provides authenticity and stability, while the weightless quality of the seagull icon adds a dynamic contrast that enhances the overall impact of the design.
